Kunia Road closed because of low-hanging utility wires
Kunia Road was closed for nearly four hours this afternoon because of low-hanging wires after a single-vehicle crash.
Police said the car crashed into a utility pole near the post office on Kunia Road about 3:30 p.m. Police later closed the roadway to clear the wires.
It was reopened about 7:15 p.m.
Waipahu-bound traffic was rerouted from Lyman Gate at Schofield Barracks, and Wahiawa-bound traffic was turned around at Kunia Drive at the Kunia Post Office, police said.
Hawaiian Telcom sent a crew to the scene to clear the area, police said.
