Four Seasons Hualalai retains top-shelf status

Kailua-Kona » Two prestigious travel rating organizations, AAA and Forbes, still think the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is tops.

The Big Island resort has retained its AAA Five-Diamond and Forbes Five-Star resort status, according to a recent announcement. The awards include:

» AAA Five Diamonds — Four Seasons Resort Hualalai (12 consecutive years).
» AAA Four Diamond — Pahui’a restaurant (10 consecutive years).
» Forbes Five Stars — Four Seasons Resort Hualalai (two consecutive years).
» Forbes Four Stars — Hualalai Spa at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai (seven consecutive years).

 

Craft fair and parade to roll through Lihue

Lihue » The Kauai holiday season officially arrives Dec. 3 when the Christmas Craft Fair and Lights on Rice Parade gets under way.

The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Kauai Museum, 4418 Rice St. in Lihue, and on the grounds fronting Rice and Eiwa streets. The parade along Rice Street starts at 6 p.m.

 

Kamaaina qualify for discounts at Kapalua

KAPALUA, MAUI » The Kapalua Villas is offering kamaaina some special perks this fall. The resort’s luxurious Gold Villas are available to Hawaii residents starting at $229 now through Dec. 20. Guests also get kamaaina discounts at the resort, including specials on golf, shopping, dining and spa. In addition, a free Honolua Store tote will be handed out upon checking in, while supplies last.
