The parents of man killed by a hit-and-run driver said they’d like to meet friends of their son.

Joe and Dona Murphy said they’ll be arriving today and staying a couple of days in Honolulu.

Police said the car that struck Michael Murphy at 11:05 p.m. on Nov. 21 on South King Street near the Blaisdell Concert Hall was dark-colored. It should have extensive front-end damage and might have a cracked windshield.
