Teen’s alleged threats lead to arrest

A 15-year-old boy was arrested Thursday on suspicion of threatening another 15-year-old boy in an argument over a prank call in Makiki.

Police said the first boy accused the other boy of the fake call, and when the second boy denied it, the first boy threatened him with a weapon.

He fled after the threat at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers arrested him at about 9:35 a.m. Thursday on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening.

 

KCC student is robbed at knifepoint

A man with a knife robbed a Kapiolani Community College student of his belongings in a campus parking lot about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The male student reported that his backpack, cell phone, MP3 player and headphones were stolen as he was walking through parking lot B at Makapuu Avenue and Diamond Head Road.

The suspect is described as in his late 20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 200 pounds. He has a muscular build, tan complexion and black goatee. He was wearing a black, long-sleeved pullover shirt and jeans, KCC Campus Security said. The top of the suspect’s hand had a tattoo of triangles.

People on campus are advised to call campus security at 734-9900 or 911 in the event of a robbery or other crime, or go to the KCC security office at Ilima 204.

 

Man reports sex proposition at UH

A male student reported being propositioned for sex and grabbed by a man while walking near the East-West Center’s Jefferson Hall at the University of Hawaii-Manoa campus Sunday night.

The student was walking on the Diamond Head side of East-West Road, in front of Jefferson Hall, when he was approached, UH campus security said.

The suspect is described as in his 20s, with a dark complexion, black hair in a crew cut, wearing all dark clothing and speaking with a heavy accent. Anyone with information is asked to call campus security at 956-6911.
