PGA Tour back at Kapalua

KAPALUA, MAUI » Golf, family and relaxation come together at the Kapalua Villas when the PGA tour opens with the Hyundai Tournament of Champions Jan. 2-9 at the Plantation Course in Kapalua. This year’s event will feature two-time defending champion Geoff Ogilvy, Ernie Els, Adam Scott, Jim Furyk, Anthony Kim and others competing for a $5.6 million purse.

The tournament offers free admission and free parking.

The Kaplua Villas will be in the swing with Family Fun Day Jan. 2, which includes Hawaiian cultural activities, a trick shot exhibition, giveaways and entertainment throughout the day. Golf fans can attend the swing analysis class and catch the Pro/Celebrity shootout benefiting the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association.
