LAS VEGAS — Floyd Mayweather Jr. gets to remain free pending a Feb. 3 trial date on a misdemeanor battery charge stemming from a confrontation with a security guard last month outside Mayweather’s Las Vegas home.

The 33-year-old Mayweather was out of town and didn’t appear with his lawyer for a brief Wednesday hearing in Las Vegas Justice Court.

Mayweather is accused of poking his finger in the face of a 21-year-old homeowner association guard in an argument over parking tickets.

Prosecutors allege willful and unlawful use of force.

Judge Tony Abbatangelo noted that Mayweather is already free on $33,000 bail pending a Jan. 24 court date on unrelated felony charges.

They stem from a September dispute with Mayweather’s children and their mother at her house.
