Johnny Depp apparently really sank his teeth into his Capt. Jack Sparrow role when he filmed "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" here and in London. According to OK! Magazine, he’s yet to have the faux teeth — crooked pirate-type choppers — removed by a dentist, so his smile might be somewhat unsightly. …

Would be cruel if he kept the teeth until 2012, but he could since that’s when Disney starts shooting "Pirates 5 and 6." Local and mainland crews have been told to keep calendars open for the huge two-in-one shoot. If true, Hawaii will again co-star in the franchise. …

Actress Vanessa Hudgens, who has been here filming "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island," is off to her 22nd-birthday fete at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. A gala was on tap last night at PURE nightclub. …

By the way, Hapa recently concluded a 14-city Japan tour, where the duo shared the Matisyahu anthem, "One Day," at its Hiroshima concert. "Such an emotional experience for us, after spending the day visiting the Hiroshima memorials," said Flanagan. "Hearing the Japanese audience singing along on the final chorus was probably the No. 1 chicken-skin moment of Hapa’s life; amazing moment, tears everywhere." The guys also encountered Nama Chan, Japan’s latest comfort-food celebrity chef, who now has five restaurants. "His chicken wings won the 2010 Hapa Award for best Japan grinds," said Flanagan. …

SPEAKING OF THE SOS: The LV edition, continuing at the Main Showroom of the Outrigger Waikiki, has added a Christmas segment to the show, and guest trouper Jeanette Trevias has been singing the Carpenters’ "Merry Christmas Darling," proving her musician-singer creds. …

And when former SOS troupers Albert Maligmat and Lani Misalucha dueted on "The Prayer" at a FilCom event recently, they earned standing ovations and hurrahs galore. …

DINING AT RUTH’S CHRIS STEAKHOUSE AT WAIKIKI BEACHWALK RECENTLY: Daren S. Kimura and Dana Rowe. The former was musical director for Army Community Theatre’s recent "Zombie Prom," while the latter composed the music. Nothing like a great steak to sink into after nights with zombies, eh? …

Meanwhile, ACT’s Richardson Theatre is filled with "Camelot" music, with Tom Holowach as King Arthur, Jennifer Sojot as his Guinevere and JD Crawford as Sir Lancelot. Where do you suppose the knights of the round table will hold their pau hana party? …
