Woman held on $253,000 bail in identity theft case

  • Authorities charged Tawnya-Lee, 40, of Nanawale, with 22 counts of identity theft and credit card fraud. She was being held on $253,000 bail.

Big Island authorities have charged a 40-year-old Pāhoa woman with 22 financial crimes.

 

Police said the woman was charged with theft, identity theft, forgery, and fraudulent use of a credit card Wednesday after an investigation into a missing wallet.

Tawnya-Lee Domingo of Nanawale, was being held on $253,000 bail.

Detectives investigating a report of a Hilo woman who lost her wallet on Nov. 11th in downtown Hilo discovered that Domingo allegedly used the victim’s credit cards in numerous transactions, police said.

Police arrested Domingo Monday.
