Kauai police have identified the victim of yesterday’s shooting in Anahola to be Aureo Arick Moore, 34, of Kapaa.

A forensic autopsy has been scheduled for Monday.

Police are continuing their investigation of the Anahola homicide. No one has yet been charged in this case.

In response to rumors, the Kauai Police Department have adamantly denied that there is a connection between the Anahola shooting and the attempted murder that occurred in Kapaa on Wednesday.

That case involved Kehaunani Kauo, who was arrested for allegedly attempting to run over her boyfriend, Robert Villaros.

Kauo is currently being held at the Kauai Community Correctional Center, unable to post the $100,000 bail.
