Fire Department rolled on 53 weather-related calls

 The Honolulu Fire Department says it responded to 53 weather-related emergencies between 1:52 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. today.

They included:

>> 46 water-evacuation responses.

>> an auto accident on the H-1 freeway, westbound near the Likelike offramp

>> the transformer fire at Makaloa and Amana streets that cut off power to Ala Moana Center.

>> an electrical short at 2120 Ahe St. at 8:34 a.m.

>> a small electrical fire aboard a boat at the Ala Wai Harbor at 10:15 a.m.

>> an overturned vehicle near the Radford overpass response at about 1:15 p.m., and

>> a blown transformer call at 3477 Pahoa St. at 4:09 p.m.
