A shipyard worker temporarily assigned to work in Pearl Harbor died yesterday from injuries that followed a fall from an electric cart on Dec. 12, the Navy said.
Andrew McPherson was on a temporary duty assignment at Pearl Harbor from Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Maine, officials said.
The Navy said McPherson suffered a serious head injury as a result of the fall from the low-speed vehicle. He had been hospitalized since receiving the injury.
The Navy said an investigation is ongoing. The shipyard said its ohana’s thoughts and prayers are with the McPherson family.
