Repairs done, North Shore residents may resume normal water use

Residents from Haleiwa to Turtle Bay no longer need to conserve water, as repairs to a leaking main have been completed and the water reservoirs have recovered, the Honolulu Board of Water Supply said.

The agency thanked residents for using water only for essential purposes.

Kamehameha Highway was reopened this morning in both directions at Lokoea Place on the North Shore.  Road repairs were completed about 10:45 a.m.

Residents from Haleiwa to Turtle Bay had been asked to use water for priority needs only to allow the water system to recover.
