Hiker rescued after injuring leg on Koko Crater trail
Firefighters rescued a hiker who injured a leg Friday on Koko Crater trail.
A man in his 20s called for help 1 p.m., said Honolulu Fire Department Capt. Terry Seelig. It wasn’t immediately clear if the man was calling for himself or a hiking partner.
Fire rescuers hiked part way up the trail, then picked up and carried the hiker down, Seelig said. The hiker was transferred to paramedics at 1:12 p.m.
