Look. Up in the sky. The sun is shining again after two days of rain on Oahu.

The National Weather Service says enjoy the sunny weather while it lasts. Another storm system is moving over the islands and will likely bring rain to Oahu by Sunday night.

There’s also still a possibility today for an occasional shower because of the moist air and some lingering instability in the weather.

"You could have a brief heavier shower now and then, but nothing of great concern," said Victor DeJesus, a weather service forecaster.

Winds are from the south today, but will be calm tomorrow, which could mean low scores for golfers at the Sony Open. Light winds from the east are predicted as the cold front approaches on Sunday.

Tomorrow should be sunny on Oahu. But the skies will become increasingly cloudy on Sunday.

The system, still 700 miles away, is moving quickly and should weaken over the islands, DeJesus said.

The weather system should pass Oahu Sunday night. Skies should be clear and the weather sunny for the Martin Luther King Day holiday Monday and most of next week.

"I don’t think its going to linger," DeJesus said.
