Two pick-up trucks collided on the Likelike Highway last night sending two men to the hospital, one in critical condition.

The crash happened at the intersection of Likelike Highway and Valley View Drive at about 10:43 p.m.

Police said a 1993 white Ford F-150 pick-up truck headed towards Honolulu made a left hand turn into the path of a 2008 white Ford F-350 pickup headed towards Kaneohe.

The driver of the F-150 pickup, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the truck, police said. The 36-year-old Honolulu man suffered critical injuries.

The driver of the Ford F-350 pickup went to the Queen’s Medical Center in good condition. Police said the 35-year-old Honolulu man was wearing a seatbelt.

Police said speed may have been a factor in the crash. It is unknown if alcohol or drugs played a role.

Police closed the Kaneohe-bound lanes of the highway for several hours while they investigated the crash.
