3 men wanted in shooting

Police continued to search yesterday for three men suspected of trying to kill a 23-year-old man in Waimanalo on Sunday night.

Police said a witness saw the victim get into an argument with three men at 7:39 p.m. Sunday.

The witness said a man in his 30s punched the victim, and a second man in his 20s was seen holding a gun, police said.

The witness ran into his house to call police and heard gunshots. The man told police the three suspects fled in a pickup truck and that the 23-year-old victim ran away.

Police have opened a second-degree attempted murder case.
