Eight films exploring topics ranging from family relationships to baseball and the Holocaust are featured in the ninth annual Temple Emanu-El Kirk Cashmere Jewish Film Festival, today through Feb. 20 at the Doris Duke Theatre at the Honolulu Academy of Arts. The event is co-sponsored and curated by the Academy of Arts.

» "The Yankles," tomorrow at 1 p.m., Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 1 p.m.

» "Anita," tomorrow at 4 p.m., Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

» "Off and Running" and "Ingelore," double feature tomorrow at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at 1 p.m.

» "Seven Minutes in Heaven," Tuesday at 1 p.m., Feb. 20 at 7:30 p.m.

» "Nora’s Will," Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 20 at 1 p.m.

» "Le Rafle," Feb. 19 at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 20 at 4 p.m.

The festival is named in memory of Kirk Cashmere, a Hawaii civil rights attorney who died in 2002.

An opening-night reception will be held today from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the theater. Da Spot will serve pupu courtesy of the James and Sally Zukerkorn Foundation, and the Pavilion Cafe will offer wine and beer for purchase.
