Police arrest man who allegedly stole from Waikiki business, scuffled with store security
A 34-year-old man who scuffled with a Waikiki loss prevention officer after allegedly stealing items from a Waikiki store was arrested last night for investigation of second-degree robbery, police said.
The man allegedly concealed undisclosed items into his bag and tried to leave the business without paying for the items when he was confronted by a loss prevention officer around 7:30 p.m. last night, police said.
The man used “physical force” against the loss prevention officer and fled, but was spotted and arrested by police a short distance away, police said.
