Man arrested after knife fight in Pearl City



Police arrested a 28-year-old man who allegedly threw a police officer to the ground during a knife fight in Pearl City last night.

Responding to an 11:56 p.m. report of a knife at Pearl City Shopping Center, officers found a 28-year-old man fighting with a 31-year-old man who had a knife.

When police tried to detain the younger man, he struggled with the officers and threw one officer to the ground.

The was booked on suspicion of assault and assault on a law enforcement officer. Police did not arrest the older man.

The officer who was thrown received treatment for head pain at Pali Momi Medical Center and was released.
