Australia’s Karrie Webb shot a final-round 69 to hold off Japan’s Chie Arimura (71—276) and win the HSBC Women’s Champions played today on the Garden Course of the Tanah Merah Country Club in Singapore by one shot.

It is the 37th LPGA Tour victory for the former world No. 1 Webb, who had a 72-hole total of 13-under 275. Current world No. 1 Yani Tseng (67—278) finished alone in third. She briefly tied Arimura for the lead at the turn, but bogeys and 10 and 12 derailed her rally. Tseng was trying to win her fourth start in a row.

Honolulu’s Michelle Wie, who finished second to Tseng last week, was not a factor the last two days. She shot a 3-over 75 today to finish tied for 40th at 8-over 296 for the tournament.
