Manoa has 4 finalists for natural sciences dean

The University of Hawaii at Manoa has selected four finalists for a new dean of the College of Natural Sciences.

The four are to visit the campus starting this week to meet senior administrators, faculty, staff and students.

The first to arrive will be Jay Siegel, the director of the Organic Chemistry Institute at the University of Zurich. He’s due on campus Thursday and Friday.

University of Maryland Department of Physiology Chair Meredith Bond is scheduled to visit March 28-29.

The founding director of Arizona State University’s School of Biological and Health Systems Engineering, William Ditto, is expected March 31-April 1.

Thomas Orlando, the associate dean of the College of Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology, is scheduled to visit April 14-15.
