Jonas Umlauft put down 16 kills and Joshua Walker added 11 to lead No. 10 Hawaii past No. 9 Pepperdine 25-20, 25-15, 25-19 in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men’s volleyball match at the Stan Sheriff Center.
The Warriors improved to 8-9 overall, 6-6 MPSF, with their second consecutive sweep of the Waves (6-9, 4-9).
It was the first time since 2001 that Hawaii swept the regular-season series with Pepperdine and the first time since 1996 that both wins were in straight sets.
