SIGNS OF HAWAIIAN LIFE IN THE UNIVERSE | Bailey Roberts doesn't need a snowboard in her hometown of Wailuku, Maui, but she put it to work at Whiteface Mountain in Lake Placid, N.Y. Roberts, a student at the New School in New York City, found the Maui North shop during a school-sponsored ski and snowboard trip. Her photo was taken by former Honolulu resident Justin Li, who is an administrator at the school.
