Hawaii tops Pacific in men’s volleyball

Jonas Umlauft put down 28 kills and Joshua Walker added 13 to lead No. 9 Hawaii to a 27-29, 25-23, 26-24, 25-17 victory in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men’s volleyball match tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Jarrod Lofy added 10 kills for the Warriors (9-9, 7-6 MPSF), winning their third straight match.

Taylor Hughes put down 21 kills and Florian Gornik 11 for the Tigers (7-13, 3-11).

The match lasted 2 hours and 25 minutes.

The teams meet again tomorrow at 7 p.m..
