UH’s law school still the smallest in top 100 ranks

The University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law is maintaining its position as the nation’s smallest law school in the top 100 of the U.S. News & World Report annual rankings.

The magazine rated the 295-student law school at No. 95 overall and No. 1 in diversity. The next-smallest law schools in the rankings are UNLV at 347 students and the University of New Mexico at 351 students.

Law school Dean Avi Soifer said he believes the rankings are skewed against Hawaii’s small school because it is in a state without any large law firms.
