Big Island police look for burglary suspects

Big Island police are looking for two men, ages 25 and 22, and their father, 46, who allegedly assaulted a 30-year-old man March 13 in Puna and stole his backpack.

Police said the three men, suspected of burglary and assault, for confronted the 30-year-old man at his Hawaiian Paradise Park home.

The three men, who are acquaintances of the victim, then allegedly assaulted him and one stole his backpack from a car parked on the property.

The 25-year-old is a Keaau resident. His 22-year-old brother lives in Nanawale, and their father is a Hawaiian Beaches resident, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 935-3311 or Detective John Rodrigues at 966-5385.
