Weather Service issues statewide wind advisory
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for all islands as gusty winds are expected to continue through Thursday morning.
Forecasters say easterly tradewinds are expected to be 15 to 25 mph, with gusts of up to 50 mph through passes, valleys and mountain ridges.
The weather service says the winds could make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Drivers should exercise caution.
The winds are being caused by a strengthening high pressure system north of the islands.
A small craft advisory is also in effect for coast waters of all islands.
