An alert maintenance man foiled the attempt by a 19-year-old woman to burglarize a Mililani apartment Thursday afternoon, police said.
The man called police after seeing the woman flee from a unit carrying a bag shortly after 5 p.m., police said.
The apartment was found to be burglarized, and police found the woman. During a search, officers found a packet in her wallet containing a substance that resembled cocaine, police said.
Officers recovered the stolen bag and booked the woman for investigation of burglary and drugs.
