Police are looking for a suspect in the shooting of a homeless man early this morning in an area used by paintball players near Nimitz highway and the Disabled American Veterans complex.
The suspect used a handgun, and the shooting was reported at 3:11 this morning when a homeless man reported that a 49-year-old man, also believed to be camping in the area, had been shot in the hand. The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
There was no immediate description of the suspect or what triggered the shooting.
