HPU splits with Academy of Art
Sierrah Garcia pitched a four-hitter to lead Academy of Art to an 8-0 softball win over Hawaii Pacific for a doubleheader split yesterday in Brisbane, Calif.
Jayme Stewart went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for the Urban Knights (15-9, 7-3 Pacific West).
Breanne Patton went 2-for-3 to lead the Sea Warriors (18-6, 8-4).
In the first game, Patton pitched a five-inning, mercy-rule one-hitter and hit a solo homer for HPU in an 8-0 win, while Celina Garces drove in two runs.
