    Police investigate bike accident at S. King and University Ave. Appears a truck coming out of a parking lot ran over a bicyclist heading mauka on University.

A 75-year-old bicyclist was in critical condition after he was pinned under a truck this afternoon on University Avenue, authorities said.

Fire Capt. Terry Seelig said firefighters used hydraulic spreader tools to free the man.

The man was treated at the scene for critical injuries, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Fire, police and paramedics responded to the 1:25 p.m. accident.

Police closed the mauka-bound lanes of University Avenue between King and Kuilei streets.
