Police arrested a 17-year-old girl who allegedly stole jewelry and cash from a relative with whom she has been living temporarily in Waianae.

Money, jewelry and a coin collection were allegedly taken from the home of the suspect’s aunt, 50, police said. The teen admitted to taking the items, and to pawning the jewelry, police said.

Police were notified and the girl was arrested on suspicion of first-degree theft. She was released pending investigation.
