Ciao Mein restaurant and the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa, which was among Hawaii’s first Asian fusion hotel restaurants, will close its doors after service April 30.

The Italian-Chinese fusion restaurant will make way for Japengo, a new Asian fusion restaurant. Starting Wednesday Ciao Mein will begin sharing the recipes for some of its most-popular and award-winning dishes, including its Honey Walnut Shrimp, Szechuan Eggplant and Tirami Su with strawberries.
