Rainbows match best WAC start in school history
Michael Blake hit a two-run single and Breland Almadova went 2-for-5 with two doubles, two runs and two RBIs to lead Hawaii to a 10-2 victory over Louisiana Tech on Saturday night.
The Rainbows (20-14 overall) won their eighth straight game at Les Murakami Stadium and matched the best Western Athletic Conference start in school history at 6-0.
Jarrett Arakawa (4-2) won his third straight decision, allowing four hits and one run in seven innings with four walks and seven strikeouts.
UH put the game out of reach with six runs in the bottom of the eighth.
Kolten Wong finished 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored.
Will Alvis hit two solo home runs for the Bulldogs (17-17, 2-4).
