Sean Combs starred as an undercover NYPD detective in Monday’s “Hawaii Five-0,” which won its time slot, attracting 11.4 million viewers.

In an episode with one of its biggest guest stars to date, musician-actor Sean Combs, “Hawaii Five-0” won its hour Monday night, attracting 11.4 million viewers, according to Nielsen ratings information released yesterday by CBS.

“Five-0” was followed by ABC’s “20/20,” which aired instead of “Castle” and drew 7.4 million overall viewers. NBC’s new drama “Law & Order: Los Angeles” drew 5.1 million viewers for third place.

Last week “Five-0” finished second, with 9.5 million viewers, to “Castle” and its 12.3 million viewers.

Among adults 18-49, a key target audience, “Five-0” attracted 2.8 percent of the total TV viewing audience and 7 percent of those who were watching TV at the time.

Combs played NYPD Detective Reggie Cole, an undercover cop investigating a crime lord. He winds up in Hawaii and sneaks in a visit with his wife and son. But his wife is killed, and the detective launches his own hunt for the killer.
