BYU’s Fredette to play in Tahoe Celebrity Golf
STATELINE, Nev. — Jimmer Fredette is ready to take his game from the hard court to the golf course.
The BYU college basketball star named The Associated Press Player of the Year has committed to play in the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship at Lake Tahoe in July.
Fredette led the nation in scoring last season while guiding the BYU Cougars to the NCAA’s Sweet 16.
Other newcomers to this year’s tourney at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course July 15-17 include Rex Ryan, Martin Brodeur, Deron Williams, Goose Gossage and Tom Glavine.
Returning stars include Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Aaron Rodgers, Tony Romo and Jerry Rice.
