Japan consul general to speak about disaster
The consul general of Japan in Honolulu is speaking to the Hawaii Legislature about the aftermath of last month’s earthquake and tsunami.
Honorable Yoshihiko Kamo planned to update state legislators Tuesday on how the devastation continues to affect the lives of Japanese residents across the country.
He’s speaking to state lawmakers after they passed a resolution requesting an address earlier this month.
Gov. Neil Abercrombie and members of the House and Senate were expected to attend.
