OHA seeks bids from nonprofits to help native Hawaiians
The Office of Hawaiian Affairs is seeking bids from nonprofiit organizations to provide services improving family income levels, raising educational achievement and improving health conditions for native Hawaiians.
The agency said Monday its solicitation for proposals is aimed at partnering with community organizations to meet its goals of improving the condition of native Hawaiians.
Up to $250,000 in yearly grants are available to organizations that qualify. Funding is available for up to two years, starting Dec. 1.
Office of Hawaiian Affairs CEO Clyde Namuo said the agency has shifted its focus from serving individual needs to applying resources to broader programs and activities.
