» The APEC Hawaii Host Committee has issued a request for proposal to hire a company that would train volunteers to work at the APEC summit in November. A Page B2 business brief and headline yesterday reported that the committee sought a company to develop the training curriculum.
» Hawaii Pacific University basketball player Kameron Steinhoff was born April 25, 1990, in Honolulu. Also, Steinhoff had a skateboard accident around 1 a.m. Tuesday and died Tuesday night. A Page B1 article Thursday implied an incorrect birthday, gave the wrong birthplace and said the accident occurred earlier.
»The Honolulu Academy of Arts’ "Cinematheque Francaise" film festival features "Potiche" at 7:30 p.m. today; "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg" at 1 and 4 p.m. tomorrow; and "Mozart’s Sister" at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow and May 29. The calendar on Page 21 of yesterday’s TGIF had incorrect dates.
» In Dave Reardon’s "Further Review" column on Page C2 yesterday, the last name of KFVE baseball analyst Pal Eldredge was misspelled.
