A 51-year-old Ewa Beach man turned himself in to police Thursday after being accused of forging and cashing checks from his employer’s account over a period of nearly three years.

Police said the man, who was arrested on one count of first-degree theft and 36 counts of second-degree forgery, conducted the illegal transactions from June 2007 through April 2010. He was released pending investigation.

The employer was identified only as an Aiea business establishment.
