A man who allegedly bit a police officer’s finger was arrested at a Wahiawa apartment complex Friday night.

Police responded to a domestic abuse call North Cane Street involving a woman, 48, and her son, 27, about 10:30 p.m. While placing the son under arrest, one of the officers was assaulted and another was physically harassed, police said.

As the suspect was being removed from the police vehicle later, he bit one of the officer’s fingers, police said.

The man is being held pending charges of abuse of a family member, two counts of assaulting a police officer, and harassment.
