State House holds community meeting with homelessness coordinator
The public is invited to a community meeting with Hawaii’s homelessness coordinator.
Marc Alexander is a former Vicar General for the Catholic Diocese of Honolulu and is now leading the state’s homeless initiative.
The Hawaii House of Representatives said in a news release tonight’s meeting at St. Clement Church in Honolulu is to focus on Gov. Neil Abercrombie’s philosophy toward addressing the homeless problem and the state’s 90-day plan on the issue.
The meeting is to also provide ways the public along with faith-based and charitable organizations can be part of efforts to eliminate homelessness.
The meeting is hosted by the church and Rep. Della Au Belatti.
