Kauai police arrested a 25-year-old woman after she allegedly stabbed a 30-year-old man in Lawai Tuesday.

At about 3:41 a.m., police said the woman went to the man’s residence and an altercation occurred between the suspect, another female and the victim. The suspect, who is also from Lawai on the southern side of the island, allegedly stabbed the victim in his left leg. 

The victim fled and drove to the Lawai General Store to call police. He was taken to Wilcox Hospital for treatment. 

Police later arrested the suspect at a Lawai residence for suspicion of first-degree assault. She is being held in lieu of $36,100 bail.
