Lone robber hits American Savings Bank in Ewa Beach

A man wearing dark clothing and a bandanna robbed the Ewa Beach branch of American Savings Bank Saturday, police said. Police said the man entered the bank, at Ewa Town Center, at 11:21 a.m. and demanded money from a teller. He left on foot in an unknown direction, police said.

The man is described police as in his 30s, 5 feet 8 with a tattoo of an undetermined design on his neck. He was wearing a dark blue, long-sleeved sweatshirt, jeans, a baseball cap and a bandanna.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300, or *CRIME on a cellphone.

It was the second bank robbery on Oahu in two days. A woman robbed the Chinatown branch of Bank of Hawaii on Friday.
