Vanpool announces rate hike effective Aug. 1
Vanpool Hawaii announced today it will increase its rates on Aug. 1, to a flat rate of $985. The new rate amounts to $164 per month per person in a group of six passengers. The current rate is $65 per person, per month.
The state Department of Transportation announced June 6 it will discontinue state funding for the rideshare program, but the company that runs Vanpool will continue the program, albeit with the higher rate.
