Bystanders injured in San Francisco shooting
SAN FRANCISCO >> Police say two teens are under arrest after five people were shot and injured in San Francisco.
Police spokesman Lt. Troy Dangerfield says an 18-year-old man and 16-year-old boy are in custody on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and gang charges.
Dangerfield says four of the victims of the Saturday shooting were unintended. They include a 74-year-old local man, a 45-year-old tourist from England, a 22-year-old man from Santa Cruz and a 17-year-old boy from El Cerrito.
No information was released about the fifth victim, believed to be the target. All are expected to survive.
The shooting was blocks from Saturday’s just-ended Gay Pride events at the Civic Center, but police say no one involved in the shooting had any connection to the festivities.
