Man charged with forging stepmother’s checks
A 20-year-old man is awaiting trial for allegedly forging and cashing his stepmother’s checks to steal $1,870.
Christopher J. Mcallaster, who has no local address, remained at the Oahu Community Correctional Center Friday night unable to post $100,000 bail.
Police said he committed the forgeries in Kailua between March 30 and April 30.
He was charged Thursday night with second-degree theft, unauthorized possession of confidential personal information, eight counts of second-degree forgery, second-degree identity theft and seven counts of third-degree identity theft.
