Hawaii’s new TV governor is bald, bearded but otherwise decidedly unlike Neil Abercrombie.

TV Guide is reporting that the Richard T. Jones has been tapped to play the new governor on CBS’s Hawaii-based hit “Hawaii Five-0.”

Previous governor Pat Jameson, played by Jean Smart, was killed in the show’s season finale.

Jones will play the yet-unnamed lieutenant governor who succeeds her.

The veteran actor, best known for his role as Bruce Van Exel on “Judging Amy,” can also be seen in the current summer movie “Super 8.”
