Oahu’s Brandon League is in the All-Star Game and Maui’s Shane Victorino could be.

League, the Seattle Mariners’ closer, was selected by his fellow major leaguers as a reserve on the American League squad.

The St. Louis School graduate leads the American League in saves with 22. It is his first All-Star selection.

Victorino, an outfielder for the Philadelphia Phillies, hasn’t been selected yet, but is one of five candidates to become the 34th player on the National League roster.

The selection will be made by fans in an online vote through Thursday at mlb.com.

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista, who leads the majors with 27 home runs, was the top vote-getter with a record 7.4 million.

The New York Yankees have the most players selected — six — including starters Robinson Cano, Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez and Curtis Granderson.

The game is July 12 in Phoenix.
