Fire causes $310,500 damage to Big Island house
A Waikoloa house was fully engulfed in flames when Big Island firefighters arrived at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Fire officials say the cause of the blaze is suspicious, and police are also investigating.
No one was injured in the fire, which caused an estimated $310,500 damage to the home located at 68-3820 Manuaihue Place.
According to bystanders, there were no known occupants, fire officials said.
Firefighters got the call at 4:23 p.m. and were on scene in seven minutes. The fire was under control by 5 p.m., according to a press release.
Nine fire companies responded to the call.
